Days 5 to 10

Ranomafana Reserve

Before reaching the next step in this journey, we’ll have to take National Route 7, which will enable us to discover overwhelmingly beautiful landscapes with its rich agricultural land and rural environments just like the typical villager experiences his country, cultivating rice, corn and herding zebus (native cattle).

We will also pass by the charming town of Ambositra, the artisan capital of the country, where artisans will show us how to add a touch of local decorative pieces to our homes.

The visit of the Ranomafana reserve brings us to the discovery of one of the first ecomuseums of Madagascar, offering an exciting and luxurious fauna and flora composed of 12 species of lemurs including the Golden Hapalemur, 118 species of birds and a humid tropical forest that hosts varieties of medicinal plants, giant fangeons, epiphyte orchids and carnivore plants!

Andringitra Park

A first trek awaits us in the Andringitra Park, where 14 species of lemurs reside. The Lagera summit exposes us to one of the nicest panoramic views this country has to offer… completely distinct from what has been discovered so far, as well as what is to come… Rock climbing enthusiasts will be able to climb their hearts out on this magnificent cliff.

Isalo

Our next adventure starts off in the village of Ranohira. We have interesting activities planned: hiking in deep canyons where the water is host to crocodiles, fish, giant eels while the land is home to lemurs, bats, and endemic birds with melodious chants.

The 2-day trek will end with a dip in a natural pool, giving us a view of this fabulous region of Madagascar where nature is unique and picture-perfect.
