Philippe
Razanakolona

Philippe
Razanakolona possesses a truly impressive list of accomplishments for
his 24 years of age. On top of managing the operations of the rAzAlpin.org
project and Ski Madagascar – the Malagasy Ski Federation, he also
has, at the academic level, obtained his DEC in Health Sciences in 2001
and is currently finishing his Mechanical Engineering degree, specializing
in Innovation of Technologies at l’École Polytechnique
of Montréal. Over the course of this degree, he has spent 1 year
abroad in the Supméca (Paris 2003-2004) student exchange program
while completing his 6-month internship at Honeywell SECAN.
In
2000, he completed an international leadership program called Up With
People which included a 6-week internship specializing in logistics
and 5 weeks in event promotion in Syracuse, NY.
Furthermore, Philippe completed an internship at Ganotec Inc (Engineering
Consulting firm in Quebec) during his study at Polytechnique. He has
also participated in the implementation of an accounting software at
a Malagasy pharmacy in Antananarivo, Madagascar and was a radio speaker
at RLI 106.0 FM Jazz of Antananarivo.
In
May 2005, he was responsible for all the logistics of an industrial
mission in China with his University colleagues at Polytechnique, with
the aim of making a comparative study between the Chinese and Canadian
innovation systems.
In
order to quench his thirst for traveling and constant discovery of new
things, Philippe had the opportunity to travel to Madagascar, Canada,
United States (16 States), Europe (9 countries), China, Jamaica and
Mauritius.
Finally,
Philippe is an avid athlete as he skied competitively for 10 years and
also played American football on an elite team for 3 years
