Leidy Hernandez

Leidy Hernandez was born in Bogota, Colombia’s capital. From a young age she had the opportunity to know her country inside and out, which planted the seed for her inherent desire to travel the world to discover its various treasures and cultures.

At the ripe age of 17, she started her psychology studies and jumped at the first opportunity to travel abroad to visit Montreal, Canada during the summer vacations. Montreal is where she would complete her degree as well as study French and English to complement her knowledge of Spanish. Now equipped with more ways to communicate, Leidy wants to share the magic that she discovered by exploring her diverse native land.  With so many climates and a plethora of natural treasures and various cultures, Colombia has something to offer for all travellers.

Colombia is a country full of contrasts, from the colonial to the modern architecture, with unforgettable exotic landscapes, as well as a plethora of interesting cultures and ancient traditions. Its people are hard-working and take advantage of every chance they get to enjoy life’s pleasures with family and friends. Thus, it is the Colombians’ hospitality and generosity that will make our trip there even more enjoyable.

Finishing up her last year of Tourism Management at Lasalle College, Leidy plans on continuing her studies in Management at the university level.

She firmly believes that through her trips with ecotours she will bring travellers to a better understanding of what her country has to offer in a creative different way. Her objective is to make her group love their dream of discovering Colombia, from the highest hills, to the tropical landscapes and amazing beaches via its unique and diverse population...Viva Colombia!
